Dan Trimble brings a unique mix of nonprofit, public sector, program management, and emergency management experience to Ring The Bell Fund.
As managing director of Convere Group, LLC, Dan provides strategic communications, government relations, and program management consulting to nonprofits and public sector-focused businesses. He began his career nearly twenty years ago in K-12 education reform, and in the years since has since worked in high-tech product marketing and nonprofit advocacy.
Combining his passion for education with nearly ten years in disaster and emergency management for the US Coast Guard Reserve, Dan was inspired to join Virginia Chang Kiraly's effort to create a fund and advocacy organization to solve the public safety disconnect between schools and fire departments/districts.
As a Coast Guard Reserve officer, Dan was most recently the team leader of an elite disaster/incident management team across the Pacific. In earlier roles, he was a planning officer working with the Navy's nuclear ballistic missile submarine fleet; a federal "Sea Marshal"; and an operations manager overseeing search-and-rescue and maritime security missions at the Pacific command center. He also teaches disaster/incident management.
A 6th generation Californian, Dan has studied strategic interagency planning at the Joint Staff College and earned his undergraduate in international business and public administration from Golden Gate University. He and his wife, Heather, live in southeast Silicon Valley.
