Elizabeth has lived on the San Francisco Peninsula for over 40 years, moving from Ohio with her family to Palo Alto in 1964.
Her career in Commercial Real Estate began with Cornish & Carey Commercial in Palo Alto in the early 1980’s as leasing agent, and continues now as co-owner of Orchard Commercial, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, with her husband, Joe Lewis.
She resides in Atherton with her husband and has devoted her time to public service since 2006 serving on many Town of Atherton committees such as: Atherton’s General Plan Committee, Transportation Committee, Rail Committee, Environmental Programs Committee, Finance Committee, and Town Center Task Force, and on the Atherton City Council since 2008. In 2013, her fellow council members elected her to serve as Mayor in 2013.
At the Regional level, Elizabeth has served on the SF Airport Noise Abatement Roundtable, The San Mateo County Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance, The San Mateo HEART Board, and the Grand Boulevard Task Force. She has been active in the Council of Cities monthly meetings and was elected as Secretary/Treasurer for 2013.
